Budget 2026 · Lens
Public work in Budget 2026
Our lens for measures most likely to become contracts: construction, IT modernisation, defence production, infrastructure renewal and major projects. It is our judgement, not a procurement forecast.
Totals are five-year net impacts on the budgetary balance, kept separate by money type. A measure can appear under several lenses, so lens totals overlap and should not be added together.
This is the chain we work on: budget lines become programs, programs become projects, and projects become RFPs. workspaceAlberta watches CanadaBuys and the Alberta Purchasing Connection so you see the tenders when they post, not after they close.
