Training & skills in Budget 2026
Training money in this budget runs through apprenticeship supports, Indigenous workforce readiness, tariff-related retraining with the provinces, and the AI for All strategy, which includes a free National AI Literacy Initiative and Mitacs work placements.
Totals are five-year net impacts on the budgetary balance, kept separate by money type. A measure can appear under several lenses, so lens totals overlap and should not be added together.
AI literacy is moving from nice-to-have to national policy. Our Desk Literacy class is the practical, on-site version for working shops: your documents, your quotes, your schedules. It complements the national initiative; it is not part of it.
